Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 19, 2026

This policy explains how Sami & Diego handles information when you visit samianddiego.com, subscribe to our emails, or contact us.

Website hosting and analytics

Netlify hosts this site and processes request information such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser information, referring sites, and request times to deliver and protect the site. We also use Netlify Web Analytics, which produces traffic reports from its server logs, including pageviews, IP-based visitor counts, approximate locations, and referring sites. These counts do not necessarily represent individual people.

Netlify Web Analytics does not require a tracking script or analytics cookies in your browser. We do not currently install Google Analytics, advertising pixels, session replay, or other browser analytics scripts on this site. This does not mean that visiting the site creates no server records. Learn more about Netlify Web Analytics.

Newsletter signup and delivery

If you subscribe, we use your email address to send a welcome email and occasional notes about gear, dog-friendly outings, and choosing what suits your dog. We also use subscription records to operate the list, resolve delivery problems, and honor unsubscribe requests. We do not sell or rent the newsletter list.

Netlify Forms stores your submission, including your email address and submission time, and records technical information such as your IP address. Resend stores your subscriber record and delivers our emails. Signup notifications are also sent to our Gmail inbox, hosted by Google. Messages you send us and our replies are stored in that inbox.

Our subscriber records include the signup time, source page, signup wording version, submission identifier, welcome-email status, and unsubscribe status. Operational logs can contain submission identifiers and a shortened hash derived from an email address. A hash is not the address in plain text, but it can still be associated with a person and is not treated as anonymous information.

Our emails contain no affiliate links and link to pages on samianddiego.com. Loading images or following links in an email can create requests to our website and its hosting provider.

Your choices and deletion requests

Use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter to stop future newsletter emails, or contact samianddiego@gmail.com. Unsubscribing does not automatically erase the subscriber record: we retain unsubscribe information to avoid sending unwanted emails. Signing up again does not automatically re-add an unsubscribed address. Contact us if you want to subscribe again.

You can use the same email address to request access, correction, or deletion of your information. We may need to confirm that the request relates to your address. We review requests across our subscriber records, form submissions, and notification mailbox. Some records may need to be retained to honor your preferences, resolve a dispute, or meet legal obligations; we will explain any applicable limits rather than promise immediate removal of every copy.

Retention and service providers

Subscriber records support the subscription and its consent and unsubscribe history. Form submissions, notification emails, and operational records can remain after you unsubscribe. Retention differs by record type and provider; we do not promise a single automatic deletion period for all of these records.

Resend currently documents a 30-day retention period for email and log data on our plan. This is not a 30-day deletion schedule for newsletter contacts or consent records. Provider backups and records outside our direct control may remain subject to their own retention processes. See Resend's data-handling information and Google's privacy policy.

Links to other sites

We link to retailers and other platforms, including Amazon, Benable, Woof, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Following a link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices, which may include cookies and tracking. Affiliate links can include a publisher tag that attributes referrals to Sami & Diego; the tag itself is not your email address or an identifier assigned to you by this site.

Policy updates and questions

We update this page when our practices change and show the revision date above. For privacy questions or requests, email samianddiego@gmail.com. You can also message the Sami & Diego account on Pinterest.
